eLearning

My approach to eLearning includes engaging interactions with story-driven, scenario-based learning concepts. I have a five-step process that identifies the clients' needs, creates an action map, composes a design document, develops a storyboard, and prototype, which lead to a developed final learning solution.



Articulate Storyline

Building a Successful Career

PROBLEM:

Based on the findings from The Bureau of Labor Statistics, 55% of workers in America are planning on looking for new jobs. Due to resignations, turnover, and layoffs, companies must seek creative ways to retain their top talent and increase overall job satisfaction, which could result in the prevention of employee turnover, burnout, and disengagement. 

SOLUTION:

The target audience for this training is partners who want to define their unique value proposition (UVP) within Company X. 


Training is needed to emphasize the following:

  1. Convert employee culture to partnerships, establishing each worker as a company leader in their respective roles.
  2. Redefine a partner’s specific skillset and how it benefits the company and their individual business (self).
  3. Prevent partner turnover due to burnout or disengagement.      

HIGHLIGHTS:

Building a Successful Career is an eLearning solution developed in Storyline Articulate. The learner is able to experience engaging interactions with examples that make real-world connections.

The Interviewer

PROBLEM:

A client has requested that their technical team bring on two thousand new members, so recruitment and hiring efforts are currently underway. They are dissatisfied with the quality or quantity of hires they are currently receiving as well as with the training solution they are using at the moment.

SOLUTION:

The target audience for this training is HR interviewers who partner with hiring managers to   interview potential employees.


Training is needed to emphasize the following:

  1. Provide a non-technical training that is engaging and leads to the improvement of the company’s training standards. 
  2. Increases the quality and quantity of hired job applicants. 
  3. Train those on the interview committee to be effective at interviewing prospective job candidates.  

HIGHLIGHTS:

The Interviewer is an eLearning solution to be developed in Storyline Articulate. With examples that relate to the real world, the learner can engage in enjoyable interactions.

Workplace Communication Style Survey

SUMMARY:

Communication Style in the Workplace

PROBLEM:

Communication barriers can come in a variety of forms, but at their core, they are all rooted in issues with giving or receiving information. Business relations improve when staff members are trained to interact and resolve disputes using a variety of communication styles.

SOLUTION:

The target audience for this training is employees, managers, supervisors, senior leadership members, and other staff members who need to improve their ability to communicate effectively with varied styles of communicators. 


Training is needed to emphasize the following:

  1. Provide a non-technical training that is engaging and leads to the improvement of the company’s training standards. 
  2. Increases the quality and quantity of hired job applicants. 
  3. Train those on the interview committee to be effective at interviewing prospective job candidates.  

HIGHLIGHTS:

Adapting Your Communication Style in the Workplace is a scenario-based eLearning solution developed in Storyline Rise 360.

Healthy Work-Life Balance

PROBLEM:

Finding a balance between work and home life has been a challenge for many of us at some point in our lives. The perfect equilibrium will frequently vary depending on the circumstance. Starting a family, starting a new business or career, or simply experiencing a busy period at work or at home can all fall under this category.

SOLUTION:

The target audience is high-performing individuals who struggle to strike a balance between their obligations and responsibilities in both their personal and professional lives.


Training is needed to emphasize the following:

  1. Identify key elements to a healthy work-life balance.
  2. Develop a plan that promotes a balance between work and personal life.
  3. Justify the benefits of achieving work-life balance. 

HIGHLIGHTS:

Healthy Work-Life Balance is an eLearning solution to be developed in Storyline Rise 360. In this scenario-based asset, the learner will make the journey with a fictitious employee as she attempts to strike a balance between work and personal life.
